Connect ClickHouse Cloud to StackSpend
Track ClickHouse Cloud usage costs beside AWS, GCP, Azure, Vercel, Snowflake, and AI providers. StackSpend imports daily ClickHouse Credits and splits them by compute, storage, backup, data transfer, and ClickPipes load costs where available.
StackSpend connects to ClickHouse Cloud using the ClickHouse Cloud REST API usage cost endpoint. It imports daily organization billing data in ClickHouse Credits and displays ClickHouse Cloud spend alongside cloud and AI cost providers.
Billing Read Access Required
Use a ClickHouse Cloud API key that can view organization billing usage. StackSpend only reads billing and usage-cost data; it does not modify ClickHouse services, warehouses, users, or payment settings.
Prerequisites
- A ClickHouse Cloud organization with usage-cost data available.
- Permission to create or use a ClickHouse Cloud API key.
- Organization billing read access, such as view billing usage permission.
- Access to StackSpend with permission to add provider connections.
Create a ClickHouse Cloud API key
- Open the ClickHouse Cloud Console and select the organization you want to monitor.
- Go to Organization Settings and open API Keys.
- Create a new API key named StackSpend or similar.
- Assign a role or custom permission set that can view organization billing usage.
Copy the credentials
- Copy the API Key ID.
- Copy the API Key Secret immediately. ClickHouse only shows the secret once.
- If your key can access multiple organizations, copy the Organization ID from organization settings.
Add ClickHouse Cloud in StackSpend
- Open StackSpend and go to Dashboard -> Providers.
- Select ClickHouse Cloud and name the connection.
- Paste the API Key ID and API Key Secret.
- Enter Organization ID if needed, or leave it blank for auto-detection.
- Click Test Connection. If it passes, save and run a sync.

Daily per-entity usage-cost records from the ClickHouse Cloud usageCost API.
ClickHouse Credits
ClickHouse reports usage in CHC. ClickHouse defines 1 CHC as 1 USD of usage value.
Cost dimensions
Compute, storage, backup, data transfer, initial load, and remainder costs when the API provides those metrics.
Entities
Data warehouses, services, ClickPipes, entity names, and locked/unlocked billing record state.
Troubleshooting
401 unauthorized
Create a new ClickHouse Cloud API key and confirm the Key ID and Key Secret were copied correctly.
403 forbidden
Confirm the API key has organization billing read access, then test the connection again.
Organization ID not found
Leave Organization ID blank for auto-detection, or copy the exact ID from ClickHouse Cloud organization settings.
No costs after sync
Confirm the selected date range has ClickHouse Cloud usage. Recent unlocked records can change on later syncs.
