Configure Daily Report

Set up daily cost reports delivered via Slack or email. Configure when reports are sent, which days, and what they include.

Before you start

  • You need to be an admin or owner of your StackSpend organisation.
  • At least one provider should be connected so there is cost data to report.
Step 1

Navigate to Daily Report settings

Go to Settings → Daily Report in your StackSpend dashboard. This is where you configure all report delivery settings.

Step 2

Choose delivery channels

Enable one or both delivery channels:

  • Slack

Connect Slack to receive reports in a channel. See Connecting Slack for setup instructions.

  • Email

Add email addresses to receive reports via email. You can add multiple recipients.

Step 3

Set delivery time

Choose when reports should be sent each day. Default is 9:00 AM in your organisation's timezone.

Tip: Set delivery time to match when your team starts their day. Morning reports help teams stay aware of spending trends.

Step 4

Choose delivery days

Select which days reports should be sent:

  • Weekdays only — Monday through Friday
  • Every day — Including weekends
  • Custom — Select specific days of the week

What you'll receive

Each daily report includes:

  • Status indicator — green (on track), amber (attention), or red (action needed) based on your budget thresholds.
  • Total spend — yesterday's cost across all connected providers.
  • Change from previous day — how yesterday compares to the day before.
  • Top cost drivers — the services contributing most to spend.
  • Link to dashboard — quick access to detailed cost breakdowns (email reports only).

Test your configuration

After configuring your daily report settings, use the Send Test button to verify everything works correctly. A sample report will be sent to your configured channels.
