Frequently asked questions
Pricing, providers, security, setup, and cloud and AI cost tracking.
What counts as a provider?
Each connected cloud or AI service counts as one provider. AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, and other services each count as one provider. An AWS Organization with multiple linked accounts counts as one provider.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing settings. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to new features. We prorate the difference for the remainder of your billing cycle.
What happens when the trial ends?
After your 14-day trial, you'll need to add a payment method to continue. If you don't add a payment method, you'll be downgraded to the Starter plan limits. Your data is retained for 30 days.
How quickly can I see my costs?
Immediately. When you connect a provider, we load up to 90 days of historical data. Within minutes of connecting, you'll see your cost trends, breakdowns, and can start exploring your spend.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Choose annual billing during checkout or in your billing settings to save 20%. Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year.
Does StackSpend modify my cloud or API accounts?
No. StackSpend uses read-only credentials only. We never modify, delete, or change anything in your AWS, GCP, Azure, or API provider accounts.
How are credentials stored?
Provider credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Encryption keys are managed separately from application data. All data is isolated per organisation with row-level security.
What providers does StackSpend support?
StackSpend supports AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor, GitHub, Hugging Face, Twilio, and Grok (xAI). Each connects via read-only APIs or billing exports.
How long does setup take?
About 5 minutes per provider. Connect with read-only credentials, test the connection, and we load 90 days of history automatically. Daily updates run on a schedule.
